A Checklist for A Successful Moving Day

As we all know moving can be stressful. Having to not only move your physical household goods but also every piece of mail, electricity, gas, internet, and water. With having to do all of this U.S. Pro-Movers are happy to provide tips and suggestions to make moving day for you that much easier.

Packing

When packing boxes for moving day it's best to use small boxes for books, large boxes for light items like pillows and blankets avoiding boxes from collapsing during the move. Make sure to properly label boxes so movers can place them correctly avoiding yourself to have to move them from one area of your home to another.

Pets?

We all have pets or have had pets growing up. Pets are human's best friends. As much as we love pets, we ask that you plan accordingly and have a pet sitter on moving day. This will keep your pets safe from any accidents happening and our movers tripping over them.

Food

During moving day your moving professionals are not the only ones putting in the work. So are you! Moving can be extremely stressful and mentally draining. So stressful and so fast you may realize you have not had much to eat nor drink throughout the day. Make sure to put aside small snacks, peanuts, chips, water, and fluids containing electrolytes to keep yourself strong and energized.

Tips

On moving day or the day before it never hurts to pull out extra cash to tip your movers. It is not required but greatly appreciated by our professionals. Similar to tipping the ones in the hospitality business, movers accept tips as well. It is a nice gesture and a nice way to express your appreciation

Heavy Lifting

During your move it can be tempting to lend a helping hand to your movers when you see them lifting something heavy or handling at an abnormal angle. We ask that you trust us as professional movers and not lend a hand. We do not want to drop any items on you, your homes floors, or ourselves.
